This has been a year of transition, and I&#8217;m thankful for my family supporting me changing jobs, and for Unity for giving me a wonderful place to land.<\/li>\n<li>Quote of the week is, &#8220;<strong>Automated user interface testing is placed at the top of the test automation pyramid because we want to do as little of it as possible.<\/strong>&#8221; This is from Mike Cohn (inventor of the automation testing pyramid) emphasizing that while UI tests have a place, a little goes a long way. Too many people forget this.<\/li>\n<li>Dan Pink <a href=\"https:\/\/itunes.apple.com\/ie\/podcast\/one3twenty\/id1295773682?mt=2&amp;utm_source=Dan+Pink%27s+Newsletter&amp;utm_campaign=c6d198f509-EMAIL_CAMPAIGN_2017_11_20&amp;utm_medium=email&amp;utm_term=0_4d8277f97a-c6d198f509-306130397&amp;goal=0_4d8277f97a-c6d198f509-306130397\">has a podcast<\/a>!<\/li>\n<li>I discovered the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.plantronics.com\/us\/product\/voyager-focus-uc?gclid=CjwKCAiAo9_QBRACEiwASknDwbI1_rBR2-C56Wi2dDVI3FpLa6LrIj4ysZPO4yAqBn2ahformDVRqBoC-bsQAvD_BwE\">Plantronics Focus<\/a>\u00a0headphones \/ headset while at Microsoft, and bought a used pair from eBay after I left. They&#8217;re comfortable, have great controls, and even pause and start music if you take them on and off. They&#8217;re a bit pricey, so look for a used set if you want to try them.<\/li>\n<li>Finally, I&#8217;ve recently subscribed to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.imperfectproduce.com\/\">Imperfect Produce<\/a> &#8211; they deliver organic produce that&#8217;s not-quite perfect at a substantial discount. Personally, I don&#8217;t care if my potatoes are too big or my onions too small &#8211; the produce is fresh, organic and perfect on the tastebuds.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The US holiday is a time for us all to reflect on what we&#8217;re thankful for.
