I listen to <em>some<\/em> of Tim&#8217;s podcasts &#8211; and his recent <a href=\"https:\/\/tim.blog\/2019\/04\/09\/eric-schmidt\/\">interview with Eric Schmidt<\/a> is fantastic. If you don&#8217;t like podcasts, there&#8217;s a transcript <a href=\"https:\/\/tim.blog\/2019\/04\/11\/the-tim-ferriss-show-transcripts-eric-schmidt-367\/\">here<\/a>.<\/li><li>I&#8217;ve been thinking about interviewing and hiring &#8211; so of course, I&#8217;ve found a few good articles. This one from hackernoon on <a href=\"https:\/\/hackernoon.com\/how-to-hire-the-best-developers-3ac0fa4e3f39\">How to Hire the Best Developers<\/a> is interesting.<\/li><li>It&#8217;s Game of Thrones week, so the internet inevitably produced an article on <a href=\"https:\/\/blog.letznav.com\/hr\/5-leadership-styles-spotted-on-game-of-thrones-which-one-are-you\">Game of Thrones styles of leadership<\/a>.<\/li><li>A disclaimer: I often find good blog articles on commercial sites. If I think they&#8217;re worth reading, I share them anyway &#8211; even if I don&#8217;t endorse the company. That said, <a href=\"https:\/\/hireyourtalent.home.blog\/2019\/04\/15\/the-10-qualities-of-a-true-leader\/\">The Ten Qualities of a True Leader<\/a>.<\/li><li>I&#8217;m reading <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B07D6CQVVV\">Brave New Work<\/a> &#8211; which is one of those books I love because it agrees with my principles and philosophies so much. Consider this harsh &#8211; yet accurate quote about managers.<br \/><br \/><em>After a broad workforce analysis, [Gary] Hamel and his coauthor, Michele Zanini, claim that roughly half of the 23.8 million management roles in the United States are unnecessary.
