I wasn&#8217;t sure, so I had to look it up. The answer is &#8220;over five years&#8221;. First one of these was in <a href=\"https:\/\/angryweasel.com\/blog\/five-for-friday-october-13\">October, 2017<\/a> &#8211; boy how things have changed since then. But the five random things from my browsing history continues this week&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>We may as well lead with a good one, and something that I&#8217;ve kept open. <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2023\/02\/the-hidden-toll-of-microstress\">The Hidden Toll of Microstress<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I&#8217;m a sucker for insightful articles on Psychological Safety, so this one on <a href=\"https:\/\/psychsafety.co.uk\/psychological-safety-work-as-imagined-vs-work-as-done\/\">Work as Imagined vs Work as Done<\/a> pushes a lot of the right buttons for me.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I&#8217;ve done weekly summary emails off and on in different flavors over my three&#8230;fuck&#8230;<em>decades<\/em> in software dev. Sometimes they&#8217;re awesome, and sometimes they&#8217;re awful. This article on <a href=\"https:\/\/medium.com\/@jefago\/why-you-should-send-a-weekly-summary-email-1c556149ed42\">Why You Should Send a Weekly Summary Email<\/a> is some good food for thought on the subject.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I feel like the world is now filled with people playing with chat gpt, but with very few of those people actually getting value from it. I&#8217;m tired of people &#8220;breaking it&#8221; and showing how it&#8217;s wrong, so I want to highlight at least <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/chatgpt-work-real-estate-finance-health-care-how-workers-use-it-jobs\/\">one article that shows how people are using it to help them<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Because you need this. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spaghettify.dev\/\">Spaghetti-fy<\/a> your code right from VS Code.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Thanks for reading &#8211; see you soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Someone asked me recently how long I&#8217;ve been doing FfF posts.
