Here are a few things I found interesting this week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>By now everyone has heard that Donald Trump was indicted this week. Here&#8217;s a great article from PBS on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/donald-trump-was-just-indicted-what-happens-next\">what happens next<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speaking of what happens next, here&#8217;s a follow up on how the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.siliconrepublic.com\/careers\/shopify-chaos-monkey-meetings-culture-deann-evans\">meeting cancellations at Shopify have been going<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>And speaking of <em>meetings<\/em>, Microsoft shared some research (two years ago, but  I found it this week) that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/en-us\/worklab\/work-trend-index\/brain-research\">Proves Your Brain Needs Breaks<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>It took me a while, but I&#8217;ve become a fan of Succession on HBO &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/hbr.org\/2023\/03\/what-hbos-succession-can-teach-us-about-negotiating\">here&#8217;s what Succession can teach us about negotiation<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>My son is getting into more advanced programming at University. He&#8217;s learning, that sometimes the code is easy &#8211; but figuring out the right code is difficult. Here&#8217;s a short story I found from a dev that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.warp.dev\/blog\/why-i-spent-a-week-on-a-10-line-code-change\">took a week to make a 10 line change<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>That&#8217;s it for cool links this week.
