{"id":2251,"date":"2023-09-08T10:53:24","date_gmt":"2023-09-08T17:53:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/angryweasel.com\/blog\/?p=2251"},"modified":"2023-09-08T10:53:27","modified_gmt":"2023-09-08T17:53:27","slug":"five-for-friday-september-8-2023","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/angryweasel.com\/blog\/five-for-friday-september-8-2023\/","title":{"rendered":"Five for Friday &#8211; September 8, 2023"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>So much going on this week, but as usual, thought of a few things worth sharing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Way back in November 2017, I was on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ministryoftesting.com\/podcasts\/5tjbat79z3?wchannelid=5tjbat79z3&amp;wmediaid=05mmqla2ux\">Testers Island Discs<\/a> podcast, where I shared five songs I&#8217;d listen to while stranded on a desert island. One of those songs was Twin Rocks Oregon, by <a href=\"https:\/\/shawnmullins.com\/\">Shawn Mullins<\/a> &#8211; who I got to see and hang out with a bit last night. Always great to see him play, and  I think most people know that I&#8217;m a sucker for singer songwriters.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Something else I&#8217;m frequently fond of are articles about Feedback Loops. I enjoyed this one on <a href=\"https:\/\/devexnuggets.substack.com\/p\/optimizing-feedback-loops-tools-tests\">Optimizing Feedback Loops<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I took the <a href=\"https:\/\/app.awsiconquiz.com\/\">AWS icon quiz<\/a> this week. It&#8217;s awesome and it&#8217;s dumb, and I don&#8217;t know anyone who got more than 4 right.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I posted about the McKinsey article last week, and found <a href=\"https:\/\/hagakure.substack.com\/p\/the-hagakure-68-the-curious-case\">another reaction to it this week<\/a> that (I think) is worth reading.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Finally this week is a great article <a href=\"https:\/\/graphite.dev\/blog\/slowest-github-prs-ever\">The Slowest GitHub PRs In Recorded History<\/a>.
