{"id":2360,"date":"2024-06-28T14:52:49","date_gmt":"2024-06-28T21:52:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/angryweasel.com\/blog\/?p=2360"},"modified":"2024-06-28T14:52:51","modified_gmt":"2024-06-28T21:52:51","slug":"five-for-friday-june-28-2024","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/angryweasel.com\/blog\/five-for-friday-june-28-2024\/","title":{"rendered":"Five for Friday &#8211; June 28, 2024"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The first half of the year comes to a close, and I have five more things to share.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>It&#8217;s been a while since I linked to a Mike Cohn article, but his post this week asking if <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mountaingoatsoftware.com\/blog\/is-scrum-dead-is-agile-dead\">Agile and Scrum are dead<\/a> is full of good points.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This article &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.turingrespawns.com\/p\/mental-well-being-and-productivity\">Mental Well-being and Productivity in Tech: Survey Results<\/a> isn&#8217;t particularly surprising &#8211; but it is interesting.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I came across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.prefect.io\/\">Prefect<\/a> this week, and it looks super-interesting. Github<a href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/PrefectHQ\/prefect\"> link is here<\/a> as well if you want to dive in quickly. I feel like this is a thing that a lot of orgs need &#8211; but don&#8217;t know they need.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>I&#8217;m hiking a chunk of the Pacific Crest Trail next week, and have found the <a href=\"https:\/\/pcta.maps.arcgis.com\">PCT Interactive Map<\/a> really helpful for seeing how much snow I&#8217;m going to run into (or avoid).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A friend recently gave me a cool wall project built using <a href=\"https:\/\/kno.wled.ge\/\">WLED<\/a> &#8211; it&#8217;s simple, but really cool tech and a lot of fun (and I&#8217;m not even building anything &#8211; just playing with the settings).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>And that&#8217;s that.
